Things To Consider When Installing Your Steam Shower

There are a few general guidelines to consider when installing your shower or cabin.

  • Bathroom Floor – This should be flat and have a smooth surface. Most of the showers have adjustable legs, allowing you to use floorboards, however, tiles are the most suitable floor material for steam showers.
  • Roof – Additional space should be left available above the steam shower or cabin for the extractor fan to function effectively and to allow enough space for the overhead shower plumbing.
  • Electrical Connections should be carried be carried out by a qualified, approved electrician.
  • Spacing – Most of the equipment in a steam shower is housed in the back of the unit. During installation please leave enough space around the back for the shower to be installed properly. After installation, the shower is slid into its resting potision.
